Skinner Releasing Technique and Finding Forms with Julie Mayo, August 25 & 26 at Yoga Source in Richmond, VA
2:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday & Sunday. Cost: $65 for the weekend. Preregistration required.
In SRT we let go of stress and preconceptions to discover our natural grace, alignment, flexibility and imagination. A unique aspect of Skinner Releasing is that it integrates technique with creative process. Through guided imagery, music and hands-on-partner studies, the practice facilitates a deep kinesthetic experience of movement. As well as enhancing strength, suppleness, efficiency, availability and freedom. In Finding Forms we will take some of the movement that arises out of our improvisations and work with creating and moving from scores. Concert Ballet of VA Summer Intensive
Each summer the Concert Ballet presents the Summer Dance Intensive, which offers an exploration of unique offerings in dance and provides performance opportunities, to showcase the newly-acquired skills for dancers of all ages and skill levels. The program is based upon our mission statement of providing a nurturing environment in which students can improve their technical and artistic abilities in dance.
