The 7th Annual Richmond Choreographers Showcase, produced by Starr Foster Dance Project, is presented with the sole mission to not only offer opportunities to choreographers, but to also bring the Richmond community together and celebrate dance and the performing arts. This year’s Showcase features 9 emerging and established choreographers from Virginia, Washington D.C. and New York. Performed in the intimate setting at the Firehouse Theatre, the program offers an exciting evening of new and recent dance works within one program.
THIS YEAR’S CHOREOGRAPHERS: Charli Brissey (VA, Moving Current Dance Collective), James Hansen (NY, Program Director at SUNY Brockports Department of Dance), Travis Sisk (VA, independent choreographer), danah bella (VA, d a n a h b e l l a DanceWorks and dance faculty at Radford University), Kevin Jones (VA, artist of the Latin Ballet of Virginia) and Sarah Ferguson, Sarah Szymanski, Ami Dowden Fant and Starr Foster (artists from Starr Foster Dance Project).
